For the fourth consecutive year, The Avenues participated in the ‘Earth Hour’ activity that was organized by the World Worldwide Fund for Nature, which aims to reduce toxic emissions affecting the environment. Parts of the exterior lights were turned off for one hour on the last Saturday at eight thirty. The Avenues management explained that The Avenues is participating for the fourth consecutive year in ‘Earth Hour’ to raise awareness about the impact of electricity consumption in the phenomenon of global warming, and contributing to take actions to reduce climate change. Management also confirmed that The Avenues is eager to take such initiatives that promote environmental awareness on the local level and global level through participating in a variety of activities throughout the year. Earth Hour was conceived in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and Kuwait to be considered as one of the first Arab countries that joined in this campaign.
